I love being apart of The Actors Nest. I have never throughout my career seen an acting school quite like it. The standard of the curriculum and the teaching techniques make it an incredible resource for the Australian Film and TV Industry. I found the Adults class at the Actors nest amazing. Not only did I meet a bunch of great people I actually was lucky enough to score a TV commercial. My Hungry Jacks Audition couldn’t have come at a better time. Paul talked about what to expect in an Audition giving us each a role to play, The Actor, the agent, the casting Director, the Director and so on and so forth. We played out what it would be like in an Audition scenario. Do’s/ Don’ts. I was lucky enough to re-live the experience the next day. I've had many wins as a result of participating in classes at the Actors Nest.Paul encouraged me to explore a broader range of playing roles and this has seemed to have lead to increased casting potential. Recently gaining an audition for neighbours, a direct result, I believe of exploring this element of particular character that I hadn't considered before.
As well as this, a few of us from the classes have developed an "admin" group, which we continue outside of classes in order to "stay active", and workshop auditions etc together. This was another thing that was pushed by the actors nest to be an important tool for actors. And it works!
The main key element that I believe I have gained from the actors nest on a weekly basis is Drive. Belief and drive, energy and determination.

The Adult class was exactly what I needed and was searching for to get to the next level in my acting career. The classes gave me confidence in my acting and in myself. It helped me grow not only as an actor but as a person too. Paul was able to assist me with characters and scenes by helping me understand myself and the way I work. He achieved this through the way he taught and also the comfortable and safe environment set up.
I had many wins whilst attending the classes. Through my new confidence I went into auditions with a new sense of ease, I put 110% into every audition, scene etc and achieved great results from it. I gained lead roles in a few short films and also a commercial.
I recommend Paul's classes at the Actor's Nest to anyone beginning or working as an actor. The chance to keep honing your skills and working on your craft is always a rewarding experience.

The Actors Nest not only taught me the skills needed to break into the acting world but also the skills you need to get through life.
When I first began classes with the Actors Nest I had Low - self confidence, low self-esteem and was very unsure where Iwanted my future to go. Just after a few class I had already noticed a change. I was becoming more confident and my self-esteem was rising. I also began realising acting and performing is what I want to do. With this change I got enough courage to audition for a fulltime course in musical theatre, i am very thankfull that I auditioned as i got in!
The Actors Nest has opened my eyes to a world I never new exsited. I am very grateful and thankful to Paul, Dario and The Actors Nest for everything I have learned so far and I look forward to another great year.
